Luxembourg on the Rocks
A fascinating journey into the geological history of Luxembourg.
From October 11, 2024 to March 16, 2025, the National Museum of Natural History Luxembourg invites you to an exceptional exhibition: “Luxembourg on the Rocks.” Dive into the captivating world of rocks and discover how they have shaped our country and influenced its history. This unique exhibition is the result of a collaboration between two outstanding curators.
Kim Totaro, one of the few Luxembourgish geologists specializing in mineralogy, is a leading figure in her field. As Assistant Curator of Geology-Mineralogy at the MNHNL, she skillfully combines the preservation of Luxembourg’s mineralogical collection with innovative research of international standing. Her commitment to conservation and research drives her work in the dynamic world of mineralogy.
Alongside her, Hans Fellner, an art and cultural historian of Dutch origin who has been based in Luxembourg since 1993, brings a rich and diverse perspective to the exhibition. Drawing on his experience as a former owner of an art bookstore and director of a Luxembourgish contemporary art gallery, he now puts his extensive knowledge at the service of this geological odyssey.
