Honorary medal ceremony

As part of the festivities for National Day, several staff members of the National Museum of Natural History Luxembourg were presented with

honorary medals by Eric Thill, Minister for Culture, during a ceremony held on Tuesday 16 June 2026 at the Mudam.

The following were awarded medals:

• Mr Philippe Berscheid, security and maintenance officer, who was awarded the médaille en vermeil de l'Ordre de la Couronne de chêne
• Ms Claudine Biel, museum education assistant, who was awarded the bijou de chevalier de l'Ordre de la Couronne de chêne
• Ms Nathalie Lentz, a security and maintenance officer, who was awarded the médaille en vermeil de l'Ordre de la Couronne de chêne
